I found out today that the department in which I work will be transferred to Columbia, SC by July 1 of next year.
I was not feeling very good before I heard that.

Today I made the mistake of wearing a red shirt and khakis into Target. I was on my way out when a woman tried, and failed, to flag me down. Now she's mad at an employee who doesn't exist.
I hope she complained to the manager.

On the radio at work I've heard ads for the "environmentally friendly" pesticide. I don't remember the name. But come on. It kills bugs. Bugs are part of the environment. The environment isn't whatever the hell you want it to be. I am extremely bothered that these ads can still run because it really means that nobody else has noticed.

This weekend beat the living hell out of me.
Thursday, up early, went to the zoo, back in the afternoon, saw Terminator that night.
Friday, up early, four or so hours of yard work, more hours in traffic trying to get to Mancino's only to find out they had no power, then to Ted's, then watched the wings lose in OT after a bunch of bad calls and a ridiculous comeback.
Saturday, planned on getting up early but I must have turned off my alarm while I was semi-concious and slept until noon, then played hockey.
Sunday, up early again, several more hours of yard work. I should have taken before and after pictures because Dave and I got so much done. Beard-b-q at Lee and Lance's, then basketball - I don't know where the energy came from.

DETROIT (AP) — Detroit police say a woman was accidentally hit by a chair swung by Ducks general manager Bob Murray after Anaheim's loss to the Red Wings in Game 7 of their Western Conference semifinal series.
Sgt. Alan Quinn said on Saturday that the woman was struck while in the press box Thursday night at Joe Louis Arena, and Murray apologized. Quinn says police took a report and the woman declined to seek charges.
The incident was first reported on Friday by WJBK-TV in Detroit.
The Ducks said Saturday that Murray denies throwing a chair. On Friday, he told the Los Angeles Times that it was a ``complete accident.''
With the 4-3 win, the Wings advanced to play the Chicago Blackhawks in the conference finals that start Sunday in Detroit.

I am really getting sick of the computerized suggestion greetings at McDonald's. Even if I had come without any idea what I wanted, it wouldn't help, because I'm not going to order a double fillet of fish extra value meal today.

I liked the Dead Like Me movie, but I probably liked the show better. Something happened to Ellen Muth's voice to make it deeper, and she had a lot more voice-over with the added length.
I don't like that they replaced the actress who played Daisy. At all.

Today's my first day of mandatory unpaid leave. We all have to do one day every two weeks. So I'm cleaning the kitchen.
I'm bothered that it takes so long to get new movies with Netflix, but it's just something that goes with no late fees. If I really want to see these movies, I have to either buy them or go to Blockbuster.

It's sad to watch livejournal whither the way it has. I'd post more, but my life is barely interesting enough to post as often as I do.
At work they're restructuring and cutting hours so I'll be heading up a new team and will work one day less every two weeks. Too bad it can't be a Friday or a Monday.
